THE BRIEF

GetUp! required portraits from two of their members who had written letters of support for the ABC. There was a very short timeframe with the shoot taking place the day after I was first contacted. Below is a snapshot from their brief:

• Subject should look unique, real.
• Have their outfit resemble their personality or profession. Are they quirky? Do they have coloured glasses, or a favourite shirt? Capture this.
• Is there a location that is important to them? It could be their kitchen that they listen to the radio every morning. It could be a fire trail they escaped last year through. It could be a nice bush where they have coffee.
• Get one with a smile and one with a serious/more neutral face, if possible.
